The goals of Community Access Network are to ensure the safety of each child, support and strengthen biological/foster families, and promote the healthy development of all children. The agency’s goals include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure that each child placed with the agency is safe, protected, and treated with dignity.
- Recruit, train, retain and support qualified staff and resource parents.
- Work diligently to reunify children with their biological families when possible as directed by the placement workers.
- Ensure that children rights are adhered to at all times.
- Identify and build on the strengths of the placed child.
- Provide quality-based programs to ensure that services are provided in a coordinated manner in order to effectivelyrespond to the needs of the service population.
- Respect the client’s ethnic, cultural and spiritual backgrounds/needs.
- Identify and allocate community resources to maximize benefits to the clients.
- Reduce multiple placements by committing to work with the child/family until reunification or another appropriate permanency plan is reached.
- Advocate for children to receive all educational services promoting academic success.
- Provide emancipation services for age appropriate youth.
- Ensure that placed children are afforded a home-like environment at all times.
- Ensure that all physical, psychological, emotional, social, legal and personal needs of the child are met.
- Ensure that all of our programs maintain staff that is culturally and linguistically representative of the population served.
